Projects / Training needs analysis for Christmas and Cocos Islands
Working on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Transport and Regional Services, Miles Morgan produced a research report to identify the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Adult Community Education (ACE) needs of the Indian Ocean Territories, and to recommend a framework for the provision of VET and ACE that met the needs and aspirations of island residents, and was consistent with mainland standards.
This involved the collection and analysis of statistical data and a review of literature and information on the region, as well as face-to-face consultation with key industry, government and community representatives, current VET and ACE students, and education and training providers on both Christmas and Cocos Islands.
