The Australian Blueprint for Career Development website is live!
When you visit the the Blueprint website, at www.blueprint.edu.au, you will find a range of resources, professional development materials, a range of other information designed to help users utilise the framework effectively, and, of course, the refined Blueprint and Appendices. All of these materials are freely available to download from the site and to be adapted as you see fit for your clients and students, subject to the Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike license. Background
The Australian Blueprint for Career Development (The Blueprint) is a framework for creating, strengthening, and evaluating career development programs and products for all Australians.
Miles Morgan has been responsible for the Australian Blueprint for Career Development since the creation of a draft prototype for MCEETYA and DEEWR in 2004.Following its extensive trialling in 2006-2007, the Australian Blueprint for Career Development has moved into full implementation as Australia's national framework for Career Development.
Many of you will know that in March 2007, it was agreed that MCEETYA would fund the refinement and roll out of the Blueprint, based on recommendations that grew out of participants' experiences of using the Blueprint during the trial. The Blueprint Advisory Committee (BAC), which is chaired by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, took this work forward and the refinement and implementation of the Blueprint is now complete.
Staff at Miles Morgan have:
- Refined the Blueprint and its appendices;
- Developed professional development kits; and
- Compiled adjunct resources that trial participants and other users of the Blueprint have developed are are willing to share with others.
