Refining the Blueprint

Following its extensive trialling in 2006-2007, the Australian Blueprint for Career Development is moving past the prototype stage and towards implementation.

Many of you will know that in March this year, it was agreed that MCEETYA would fund the refinement and roll out of the Blueprint, based on recommendations that grew out of participants' experiences of using the Blueprint during the trial. This work has been taken forward by the Blueprint Advisory Committee (BAC), which is chaired by the Department of Education, Employment, and Workforce Relations.

Staff at Miles Morgan are currently:

  • Refining the Blueprint and its appendices;
  • Developing a professional development/orientation kit;
  • Compiling adjunct resources; and
  • Designing a new website that will house these materials.

We hope that you are as excited as we are by these new developments.

How can you help?

As the project progresses, there will be many ways that interested career development practitioners and others, including earlier Blueprint users, can help. At the moment, there are two particular ways that you can help:

  1. If you have used the Blueprint and have any related materials or resources that you are willing to share with others, we would appreciate hearing from you.
  2. We would also be pleased if you would let others in your career development networks know that further information on these developments will be made available on this website.
