Miles Morgan assisted the Career Industry Council of Australia to develop a set of professional standards for career development practitioners in Australia.

This involved nationwide consultation with career industry stakeholders, and the subsequent workshopping of the professional standards with the peak career associations that comprise CICA.

These standards are now the benchmark that defines the conditions for professional recognition as a career development practitioner. The standards define the specific terminology of the profession, the terms of membership, a code of ethics, entry-level qualifications, guidelines for professional development and competency guidelines.
