Mhairi (pronounced Vari) joined Miles Morgan as a member of their Job Guide research team in June 2010. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Film and Television studies, in September 2010.

The screen arts have been Mhairi’s passion since high school and she completed two tertiary certificates in Screen Studies at TAFE WA before completing Curtin University’s Independent Film Stream course. While studying at Curtin University she discovered that the business side of filmmaking was her particular area of interest, and this led to her making several short films in the role of producer. Last year she spent three weeks working on an independent full-length, feature film set in Denmark as the Production Assistant. Mhairi’s experience as a film producer has taught her the importance of collaboration, communication and clarity.

While studying, Mhairi spent five years working in the hospitality and service industries. Her experience in both retail and restaurant environments has provided her with skills in customer service and conflict management. She continues to work as an auction assistant at charity events and also in a liquor store.

In her spare time Mhairi enjoys baking, playing netball and learning useless trivia at her weekly quiz night.
