Projects / Guiding Principles for Career Development Services and Information
A framework of guiding principles, developed on behalf of CICA and the Australian federal government, to provide those who offer career development services and career information products with a set of criteria with which to assess and improve the quality of their services or products.
The principles were developed in consultation with the career development industry, and representatives from the education, training and employment authorities in all state and territories in Australia. They were also shaped by examples of similar quality guidelines developed elsewhere in the world, such as the matrix standard in the UK, the meta-criteria developed in Europe, and the US NCDA guidelines for career information.
