Dr Jade Nobbs is a research supervisor and associate at Miles Morgan

Australia, with specific expertise and experience in occupational and career information research, the research and analysis of teaching and learning practices, and education and training program and policy analysis and evaluation. Broadly speaking, Jade is an expert in the research and analysis of learning and work cultures. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English and a Doctorate in Communication and Cultural Studies.

Jade’s academic background enables him to bring a sophisticated and rigorous analytical perspective to issues of career and workforce development and social inclusion, particularly as these apply in the context of a culturally diverse, mobile and rapidly changing 21st century society.

Jade also occasionally teaches cultural studies at Curtin University and has published widely in the areas of culture, representation and historical change. His research and teaching experience have afforded Jade an acute awareness of the issues and challenges involved in the provision of effective education, training and career services and information. His research and writing skills are also widely acknowledged by his peers as first-rate.  

Jade is the manager of the annual JobGuide project, and has also been a key research consultant on a range of Miles Morgan projects, including the development of national Guiding Principles for Career Development Services and Career Information Products in 2007, the creation of a guide to Australian workplace culture for new migrants in 2008, and also the development of WA’s state strategy on Adult and Community Education 2009-2013. He also assisted in the performance of a 2009 evaluation of a transition to work program for young people with a disability in New South Wales.
