Miles Morgan Australia was established in 1996, as a private company that sought to provide research and consulting support to the VET sector. At that time, Miles Morgan was no more than an office above a florist shop in Nedlands! Since then, Miles Morgan has grown considerably and has been housed in its Subiaco office since 2000. Over the years, the company has accumulated extensive experience in education and training and labour market research, and has become one of Australia’s leading consultancy and research firms in the area of career development.
Since its establishment, Miles Morgan has provided research, evaluation and policy advice primarily to government agencies with responsibility for education and training, and to agencies responsible for employment policies, programmes and services.
In the late nineties, we made a deliberate decision to extend our reach in response to a lifelong interest of our CE and a growing interest by governments in the importance of career development services. Our first forays into this field involved developing occupational profiles for the Job Guide project (since 2000), and developing a user-friendly career information site for the WA Department of Training that was based on accurate, up-to-date labour market information. Subsequently, we won the contract to develop the profiles and interviews for Get Access. Since that time, Miles Morgan Australia has become the pre-eminent supplier of career development research, policy development, occupational profiling, and more recently career development resources (ACDS and the Blueprint) in Australia.
In 2008, our CE and owner Christine Haines was a finalist in the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year awards, a significant recognition of her business achievements and her contribution to the community through the provision of high quality research and consultancy services that seek to improve the quality of education and training and career development services in Australia.
Miles Morgan continues to provide quality-focused research, evaluation and policy development services to a range of organisations. Our reputation and our workflow has grown steadily over this time due to the quality and cost-effectiveness of our work.
